I. THE WARRANTY IS APPLICABLE:
- Exclusively in the circumstances described below.
- Exclusively vis-à-vis the Verimpex customers.
- Exclusively to the actual products or services supplied by Verimpex.
- Exclusively to goods entirely manufactured, sold and installed by Verimpex, provided that the products were installed by registered local fitters.
- Under no circumstances to additional products and materials not supplied by Verimpex.
- Exclusively to defects that were not visible at the time of delivery.
- Under no circumstances to visible defects such as colour, dimensions, damage caused during transport, etc. Such visible defects are to be reported at the latest at the time of delivery.
- Exclusively to abnormal defects that are not the consequence of normal wear and tear. Examples of normal wear and tear are discoloration and abrasion of anodisation layer, oxidization of brass, electrolysis between the different metals.
- Exclusively to abnormal defects which are not the consequence of incorrect maintenance or cleaning. Maintenance should take place in accordance with the instructions of the manufacturer, as described in the supplied user manual, leaflets, brochures and on the website.
- Under no circumstances to damage or abnormal wear caused by (including but not limited to): improper use, contact with sharp objects, disassembly, abnormal loads, fire, lightning, flooding, external influences of a mechanical/chemical/radiotechnical/thermal nature, manipulations or adjustments by non-registered fitters, use of unsuitable accessories or components, incorrect installation in the matwell, sagging caused by an uneven floor.
- Under no circumstances in case of damage caused during transport.
II. ADDITIONAL REMARKS:
- The warranty is under no circumstances applicable to, and Verimpex cannot be held liable for any consequential damage such as bodily injury, loss of profits, losses caused by shutdown, unemployment, etc.
- Any damage and any defect to which the warranty applies must be reported within five working days after its occurrence by registered letter or by fax or e-mail, of which receipt is confirmed, to the 'Customer Care Service' customercare@verimpex.be, with a detailed description of the damage or the defect and with photographs if possible.
- Verimpex offers its users online support in order to promote the correct used of the products supplied.
III. EXTENT OF THE WARRANTY:
- In principle, the warranty is applied degressively, depending on the number of months since delivery in proportion to the maximum warranty period for each type of product (see also III.9).
- The products will be repaired in the approved manner or will be replaced by products of the same type and with the same finish, without additional costs.
- In accordance with the principle of degressive warranty, the beneficiary of the warranty only pays for the fraction not covered by the warranty (e.g. in case of damage occurring after 36 months for a product with a warranty period of 60 months : 36/60ths of the costs of repair or replacement).
- The mats or components that are replaced become the property of Verimpex.
- No replacement product can be made available during the repair or replacement activities.
- The warranty period is not renewed after repair or replacement.
- In exceptional cases, Verimpex may decide not to repair nor to replace a product. In thatcase, the product is taken back and a compensation is paid on the basis of the degressive fractional value of the product.
- ‘Value of the product’ is understood to mean the amount invoiced by Verimpex to the customer or the distributor.
- The warranty period is 10 years for the types Topguard® and Brossguard®, 5 years for the types Tireguard® and Polyguard®, and 2 years for the type Cleanmid® A/B/C/M and Compact®.
- The warranty is valid in all EU countries. Outside the EU the warranty period is limited to 24 months, under the same conditions of proportional degressive settlement.
