All entrance mats have essentially the same purpose : Prevent that dirt and/or moisture comes in the building via shoe soles. Almost every type of mat handles the dirt and/or moisture in their own specific way. Following types of mats are to be distinguished :

By their Function :

-

Scrape mats : most important quality : to scrape the coarse dirt of the shoe soles.

-

Dry mats : most important quality : to dry shoe soles and to absorb moisture.

-

Brush mats : These mats have the specific quality that they brush off the course dirt (sand, gravel, etc) and also have a drying effect by the capillary working of the brushes.

By the Design :

When ordering a mat following important matters have to be kept in mind :

To order correctly, the CODE must always be mentioned !

•

The description of the mat should contain :

-

ALWAYS : type of mat, height, colour of textile and/or of brushes, colour of partitioning (Poly-Guard, Cleanmid ABC and BrossGuard have no partitioning profiles).

With TOPGUARD, TIREGUARD and POLYGUARD : single or double textile strips.

-

With BROSSGUARD : colour of the profiles.

With FRAMES : type and material of frame; height of mat

Mark the walking direction on a clear drawing of the ordered mat. The dimension of the mat are given as follows (in mm) :

width (LR) x walking length (FB)

LR = from left to right

-

FB = from the front to the back

Bigger mats are built in several sections. Subdivision in sections has to be marked on the drawing.

•

The dimensions that you give must be either exact pit measurements (you let us take the necessary margin for the finished mat) or exact mat measurements.

When the mat forms are extreme or very difficult we advise that VERIMPEX makes a model of the cut-away first or make the mat in the work fitted exactly.
